Finding Rockhopper is very hard to do. But if you follow all the information in this guide, you will find him extremely quickly.
This guide is going to give you a higher chance of finding Rockhopper. But before you even set out to search for Rockhopper you have to know who he even is.
About Rockhopper:
Captain Rockhopper is a wealthy pirate penguin that regularly sails to Club Penguin via the Migrator (usually about every two months or so) accompanied by his red puffle, Yarr. His ship always stays at the Beach. He keeps a journal of his adventures, and sells rare items brought from Rockhopper Island. When he comes to Club Penguin, in the Pirate Catalog, he always gives away a free item. Players can sometimes see Rockhopper in random places in random servers when he lands on Club Penguin. Players can receive a free gift from Rockhopper from his player card. Rockhopper is named after the Southern Rockhopper Penguin.
Finding Rockhopper:
1. You can only Find Rockhopper when his Ship ” The Migrator” is at Club Penguin. (Hint) - When you go to the Club Penguin Homepage, you can see his ship in the Background.
2. If you see a server that is normally empty but full, there is a good chance that Rockhopper is in that server.
3. When your in a server and you see a group of penguins that are all (Red) there is a good chance Rockhopper is there.
4. Rockhopper likes a ton of servers. He doesn’t stay at the same server for a long period of time. He usually goes to other servers once often. Rockhopper likes the lower populated servers more then the ones that are populated a lot., and also likes the visit the popular servers like Mammoth and Frozen.
5. Rockhopper’s favorite populated servers are as follows ( Mammoth, Frozen, Blizzard, Christmas, Husky)
6. The rooms in Club Penguin that you can find Rockhopper in, is the Dock, Beach, The Migrator, Ship Hold, Pizza Parlor, Snow Forts, Cove and the Plaza. He occasionally will go to the Iceberg so check there occasionally if he is not in any of the rooms stated above.
7. Start a search group and look for Rockhopper all over Club Penguin. If someone finds him they can report back to the other members of the group. This is a very successful method on finding Rockhopper.
8. Go from Server from Server and check the places mentioned in Step 6. Keep doing that and your bound to find him Sooner or Later
9. Wait for him in one of his favorite servers. Go to Frozen and wait in the Ship’s Hold. This is also a very successful method.
10. Go to a Chatbox and talk to people. Ask them if they know where Rockhopper is.

What Does Rockhopper Give You
Great question. Every once in a while Rockhopper switches the gift he gives. He started out with giving out an eyepatch, but now he switched to giving out free backgrounds for everyone,(Members and Non-Members)! I am sure that in the future he will hand out new items.
Can You be Rockhopper’s Buddy?
Well basically, everyone is Rockhopper’s friend, but the only bad thing is that you can’t add him to your buddy list and or give him a buddy request.
I hope in the near future Club Penguin allow you to add Rockhopper to your buddy list so you can always find him.
Is Rockhopper a robot or a moderator?
Moderators will sometimes go onto Rockhopper’s account but to tell if it is a moderator or a robot there is two ways. First send him a post card. If he responds back to you with a post card then he is a moderator. If Rockhopper is say weird stuff such as (“Arr Mateys and A pirates life for me!”) he is probably a robot.
Getting Rockhopper’s Background:All you have to do is Click the Present on Rockhopper’s Player Card to receive his Background. Also if you click on the home buttton, you go to his Ship ( The Migrator.)
